MCRRC provides a fresh start in a safe and encouraging environment.

MCRRC allows residents to focus on themselves—helping to build happier, healthier families.

Built as an alternative to the cycles of incarceration, the Morgan County Residential Recovery Court (MCRRC) provides an opportunity for long-term recovery in a safe and encouraging environment. This unique, immersive residential treatment program allows residents to focus on achieving and sustaining sobriety away from daily stress situations.

Seated at the based of Frozen Head State park in Wartburg, Tennessee, our approximate 12-month residency program provides a setting for residents to focus on themselves with minimal distraction. We find it can lead individuals to truly develop and sustain healthier behaviors.

While most program participants take part in our residential treatment for one year, it is not unusual for participants to remain in the program for longer than twelve months. The participant’s time in programming is entirely dependent upon the evaluation of the treatment team and Presiding Judge based on the participant’s progress in his recovery. We find that the program length provides our experienced and caring counselors time to work at each person’s individual pace.

Our educational resources also cultivate better everyday habits and valuable vocational skills for life after the program,—such as budgeting, resume writing, and job interviews. In addition, those who want to obtain their GED have the ability to do so while in programming.

Individuals admitted to MCRRC must be referred by local recovery courts and approved by the MCRRC presiding Judge.

Graduation

When a resident successfully graduates from the MCRRC program, he is transferred back to his referring recovery court for extended out-patient and after-care treatment according to the terms and conditions of the referring recovery court. The MCRRC staff will participate with the referring recovery court in formulating a transition plan for each graduating resident.
